Description for this afternoons session:

Welcome to Sea Change Studio's Deep Dive Sound Bath! Join us as we delve into our most primal and powerful inner beings with a symphony of harmonious frequencies to reconnect you with the rhythms of Earth and nature.

Every day, we are exposed to a barrage of man-made frequencies- noise pollution - that disrupts our natural rhythms: this can cause anxiety, stress, and even interfere with your sleep and digestion! Allow this special offering to relax your body's systems, and emerge with a sense of relaxation, renewal and vibrant energy.

During this sound bath, we will release discordant vibrations and embrace alignment with our truest selves.

“A sonic deep dive designed to inspire, enliven and reawaken the songs of the soul.”

My sound healing journey began in the mid 90s, when I was just starting out as a published writer and was invited to participate in The Power of Sound workshops headed by sound therapy pioneer Don Campbell. I discovered the power of drums and tuning forks and toning to energize and soothe the body. Intrigued by research on the powers of sonar, I also traveled to to Hawaii several times to swim with dolphin communications pioneer Joan Ocean and several resident pods on the Big Island. I marveled at the dolphins' healing acoustics reverberating through me, and the transcendent calm that followed.

These experiences led me to a music therapy clinic in Los Angeles, The Sound Listening and Learning Center, which utilized the Tomatis Method (employing targeted musical frequencies to stimulate the brain and create new neural connections). I witnessed remarkable progress in communication and language skills with autistic patients and those with learning differences.

After many subsequent years of joyful experimentation in the sonic realm, I am pleased to offer sound baths as an accredited sound healing facilitator. I enjoy working with fellow writers and other artists looking to deepen and expand their creative process, soul seekers looking to balance their nervous systems, and curious individuals who are open to learning more about the magical realm of sound healing.

Disconnect to Reconnect: Rejuvenate through Sound Immersion

In our current working culture, constant screen time blurs boundaries between professional and personal life, leading to burnout and disconnection from family, friends, and personal interests.

What is Sound Immersion?

It's an immersive experience using sound waves to trigger healing, inducing deep relaxation.

Why Sound Immersion?

Escape Work Stress: Find tranquility amidst daily demands.

Clear Brain Fog: Enhance mental clarity and focus.

Ease Anxiety: Promote peace and well-being.

Still the Mind: Experience true mental calm.

What to Expect?

Guided breath work transitions into a session where soothing sounds reduce heart rate and brain wave activity.

What should I bring?

-an eye mask

-anything to support you in feeling comfortable either laying or sitting for 1 hour

-pen and paper

Join Us:

Embrace tranquility through Sound Immersion. Reconnect with yourself, find balance, peace, and clarity.

After earning her B.A. in Neuroscience, Serena collaborated with diverse research teams investigating clinical outcomes following traumatic brain injury and identifying effective pharmacotherapies for preventing opioid relapse, contributing to meaningful discoveries and enhancing her understanding of neuropharmacology and cognitive rehabilitation. Serena also gained extensive experience in clinical settings, enriching her practical knowledge and refining her skills in patient care and clinical collaboration.

Now a certified Sound Practitioner through the SoundEmbrace Institute, Serena integrates her background in health and neuroscience with her personally developed ADD/ADHD management techniques to empower those looking to improve cognitive function and strengthen their mind-body connection. Through repeated parasympathetic nervous system activation and various somatic and mental tools, she assists clients in improving nervous system regulation, focus, mood, and "brain fog."

Sound immersion, often called a "sound bath" or "sound healing," is a non-invasive, alternative, and complementary treatment to standard interventions like pharmaceuticals and psychotherapy. It creates an environment where clients can develop mindfulness and meditation skills. Frequent sessions provide tools and strategies that empower individuals to regulate their own nervous system and meditate independently, helping them sustain results over time. Clients can appreciate the benefits of engaging in this practice long-term when they are able to effectively detach from work when needed, fully engage in the present moment, and nurture important relationships, leading to an overall gratifying and authentic life.

Amanda, the founder of Steady Sound flow, has been in the business of helping take care of others for most of her life. From an early age she always wanted to help the ill or injured, and ran towards the emergency instead of away. She ultimately became a Registered Respiratory Therapist, graduating with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science. Her career has spanned over 20 years and brought her to Atlanta to work at Emory University Hospital Midtown in 2003. She is responsible for the breathing of adults and neonates in the hospital and has direct patient care experience for 22 years in trauma, surgery, burn, oncology, post operative care, open heart recovery, general ICU critical care and general medical/surgery patients as well as specialized airway management and ventilator management. She was a part of the frontline of the pandemic and knows firsthand what it has done to bedside clinicians and the workforce.

In 2015, after recovery from het own critical illness, Amanda began taking yoga classes and discovered the amazing physical and mental benefits of the practice. She completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training program from Veronica Lewinger of Integrative Flow yoga in January of 2020. A vinyasa training with heavy emphasis on anatomy and proper alignment, as well as the softness of trauma informed language and trauma sensitive practices for adults and youth. She completed the Love your Brain yoga and meditation training in 2020, a program that, now global, provides yoga and meditation at no cost to those who suffered a traumatic brain injury (and free to their caregivers!)

Amanda witnessed the power of sound healing in 2019 during yoga teacher training and was intrigued by its effects. She enrolled in a sound healing certification program in 2023. She is now a sound healing practitioner, completing the program with Danielle Hall of Sound Embrace! She is excited to share this knowledge and the profound benefits of sound healing. with clients from all walks of life.

Myriam is a French Canadian multidisciplinary queer artist with a practice in dance, filmmaking and music composition. Ever since childhood she has been pursuing freedom of expression in any way she could. This relentless quest led to her first formal training in modern dance, jazz and ballet at the age of 17. She continued with classical cello training, then combined these disciplines into stage and TV production studies. She has been working in the arts for nearly 17 years, having been on and behind the stage either through playing, recording or producing. She has been a guest cellist and part of bands of various styles, from pop to noise to heavy metal.

Myriam's sound healing offering is rooted in this quest for freedom, in her multidisciplinary art practice, and in her own recovery journey. Throughout her life she has always used movement and sound as potent healing mechanisms, but when her body needed to stop, only music remained. She believes that sound creates emotions that bring us closer to our true nature.

Description for this evenings session:

A Gentle, Hello.

When we wake up in the morning, walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror for the first time, what do you say to yourself. I invite you to give yourself a gentle, hello. You just might smile, you might continue looking, you might laugh, you might cry. The answers are endless. However, you will give yourself the love and respect of honoring the exact place you are in, mood, energy level, all of it.

I felt it might be apropos to also gently say hello in my first community ONLINE sound bath.

Each day is a new opportunity to check in, even if you went through yesterday without checking in. That’s the beauty of life, every second we have is a new opportunity.

Whether you are feeling burnt out from a crazy work shift and just need a minute to not think about anything, or you are stuck in your creative flow and need a little nudge, or maybe you are interested in relaxing, but don’t know where to start? Let’s say hello.

On August 3rd, 6pm-7pm, I will be offering my first online sound bath.

What is a sound bath? I will be playing 7 quartz bowls that are tuned to a specific frequency that emit a vibration that shits energy, tension, emotion, unwanted thoughts while you literally bathe in sound in the comfort of your own home under your favorite blanket on your favorite yoga mat/rug/carpet/floor.

What you may experience? Relaxation, Increase creative stimulation, decrease in anxiety, more clarity in life intention, lower blood pressure, lower heart rate, heightening of senses, stress release, slowing down of racing thoughts, improved sleep, calmness

What do you need? A cozy place to lay, possibly a pillow for under your head or knees if prone to back problems, headphones if possible for the most effective experience, your beautiful self in exactly the state that you are in at 6pm. No expectations.

On August 3rd, if you get a moment, give yourself a gentle hello in the mirror. I will too.

Let’s see where hello can take you. Let’s find the calm of the wild.

Get to know your Practitioner:

Sable found sound healing through following a small street in Santa Monica, California. She followed a gut feeling to walk into a hidden gem of a building and her instincts led her right into the warmest arms–sound bowls, gongs, drums, and breath.

Currently practicing as a registered nurse for over 10 years, Sable has always had a different approach to bedside care. Holding the patient’s story priority and feeling honored to hold space for them felt out of place– but needed– in a hospital setting. Always leaving the hospital at wee hours due to prioritizing human connection and support over mundane computer charting, Sable has always been looking for a way to hold space for connection, presence, and self care. Although there is a time and place for healthcare, the daily practice of supporting oneself is a necessity to navigate this treacherous world. Sable finally feels that she has found healing in a different setting.

Sable is on her journey transitioning into holistic care for all persons. Sable has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts with an Acting Minor, a bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, is a certified doula and a certified Sound facilitator from Sound Embrace Institute. She is gathering her lifelong toolset of holding space to promote mental health wellness. Coming from an artistic background, incorporating movement, breath, and connection into her sessions allows her to find nuances with each facilitation.

Sable has also worked in the community setting at mental health community centers, created drama programs for elementary youth in underprivileged communities and would like to continue to hear the stories of her community.

Sable also loves nature–finding unique mushrooms, healing plants, homemade remedies, and drinking water with cucumbers. Sable believes the best gift from life is listening, then second is learning. She also believes that children are our best influence because of their zest for life and inherent honesty–because of this, she never wants to grow up, creatively speaking.

Let’s find calm in the wild.

Description for this evenings sound bath:

My intention for the session is for my participants to sense each breath as a blissful homecoming back to themselves.

Often times we look to the outside to bring us solace, ease and balance when the pathway to peace exists within...waiting to be found/uncovered underneath all of the experiences we’ve had or had to endure. Sound and vibration are a vehicle to experience the balance we seek.

Here are states of being accessed from previous participants in Devon’s SoundBaths:

Relaxed. Peace. Calm. Rested. Peaceful. Heart filled. Focused. Nourished. Energized. Soothed. Headache free. Refreshed. Free. Held.

If you’d like to see what’s possible personally, come through with an open heart and mind.

Devon will lead you through a deeply relaxing mindful meditation of breath into the pure harmonious sounds of the crystal bowls (and other instrument)to bring balance and a sense of ease to your body, mind and spirit. …Which is simply a pathway back home to your intended natural state of being.

No previous experience with meditation or sound needed. If you’re a living human looking to relax- that’s enough ;)

After a 15 year career in the film Industry, Neshe felt intuitively drawn down a new path, into a journey of healing, not only for herself but for others and for all living beings. After years of working with sound in film and observing the way in which sound taps so deeply into people’s souls evoking intense memories and emotions, she was guided specifically into the study of sound therapy.

Using sound vibrations to relax and calm the body and mind, aid in meditation, connect others to their own intuition and vulnerabilities, heal trauma, and to balance the energies of all living beings around her has become her life's passion. She continues to study, learn and grow within the healing community, and is committed to sharing her gifts with anyone open to receiving them.
