SoundEmbrace Community Sound Bath with Myriam

  • SoundEmbrace - Virtual (map)

Sound is a powerful tool for transformation. When we combine Sound + Community we cultivate self empowerment and find healing that transcends the challenges we currently face both individually and collectively.

About:

::::Sound On:::: was created for the SoundEmbrace Sound Healing Certification Program students to have their first group public sound session as their final project.

Danielle will introduce your practitioner and then "pass the mic" for them to lead you in a truly one of a kind experience. Every sound bath session will be different and unique to the guest practitioners topic and intention.

After the sound healing session we will stick around for a 30 minute Q & A.

Get the most out of our time together:

1. Find a comfortable quiet spot where you will not be disturbed (sitting or laying down - your pick!)

2. Get cozy! Grab a blanket, pillow, or eye mask

3. Have some water available so that you can hydrate after the experience

4. Headphones for optimal sound

5. Please note that your experience will also be determined by your internet connection.

6. Turn off notifications on your phone, device, or computer so you may fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Common Feedback from Sound Bath Experiences Include :

Reduced stress, anxiety, and depression, a calm mind and increased mental clarity, reduced pain, emotional release and clearing of emotional blockages, relaxation, better sleep, self discovery and transformation, and spiritual connection.

Description for this evenings session:

Join me for a cinematic sound bath where we'll expand our capacity for openness. I'll be guiding you through an immersive instrumental landscape in which we'll use voice and storytelling to break down internal barriers. This session is open and safe for everyone, come as you are.

Get to know your Practitioner:

Myriam is a French Canadian multidisciplinary queer artist with a practice in dance, filmmaking and music composition. Ever since childhood she has been pursuing freedom of expression in any way she could. This relentless quest led to her first formal training in modern dance, jazz and ballet at the age of 17. She continued with classical cello training, then combined these disciplines into stage and TV production studies. She has been working in the arts for nearly 17 years, having been on and behind the stage either through playing, recording or producing. She has been a guest cellist and part of bands of various styles, from pop to noise to heavy metal.

Myriam's sound healing offering is rooted in this quest for freedom, in her multidisciplinary art practice, and in her own recovery journey. Throughout her life she has always used movement and sound as potent healing mechanisms, but when her body needed to stop, only music remained. She believes that sound creates emotions that bring us closer to our true nature.
