💕See you next week.

Anytime. Anywhere. I got you.
This lovely corporate Sound Bath was held at Boston Consulting Group last week. I LOVE corporate because usually, the majority of the room has never experienced a sound bath before. It is always such an honor for me to have the opportunity to introduce this to people. Thank you for your open arms into the space. For the attention and intentions. And purely being open to a new experience. What a great way to bring everyone together and experience something new.

Growing up, my dad use to say,” You go to school, get a job and it’s a perk if you like it.”
It never sat right with me. I didn’t know what I wanted to do “when I grew up” but I did know I didn’t want to just do it to pay my bills.
💕I wanted to LOVE it. 💕I wanted to feel like I was contributing to something bigger. 💕I wanted to feel FREE’D by it.
It wasn’t until years had passed and my dad witnessing me find my way, that shifted his perspective,”Baby doll, I just didn’t see an example of it being possible to do what you love, and make a living, until now.” (Whoa...)
This past Saturday, 10 new sound healing students went through the SoundEmbrace Sound Healing 101 class. Whether or not they choose to step into this work, they each had THIS in common. They want to love what they do, make a difference in their communities, and feel free’d by any ailments or limitations.
For my students past and present, THIS is what we are offering our communities through this work. An example. A representation of skilled sound practitioners living aligned. Sound practitioners from all different backgrounds serving the communities who mean most to them. Representation matters. And as we navigate through our personal evolution, healing the cracks and loving the spaces in between, we find peace. And it’s that peace that we find within ourselves that lights the way for others to see that they can do it too.
Sound Healing. It’s on the rise.

His name is Hercules. 💓
Packing my Fiat is a little like Tetris, but it always seems to work! Small but mighty!
There are a few spots available for tonight’s sound bath at Bar Method Atlanta-East Cobb!
Also, Sound Healing 101! Let’s face it... you can actually hurt someone (and yourself) if you are playing these instruments for people in a sound bath or a 1 on 1. Sound Healing 101 provides the basics for anyone curious about doing this work, and how to get started. No instruments or experience required. I will have everything you need! Class is Saturday, July 27! ♥️🙌♥️

How does Sound Healing Work?
This is a loaded question! Haha! But I love it!
Lets start here for today: Sound helps to facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronizes our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency in which the brainwave can attune to.
By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to “down-shift” our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur). The goal of a sound healing session (usually) is to get you into the theta and delta brainwave states so your body can go into its own natural healing processes.
Depending on what you are supporting someone through in a session, you may use instruments like drums, gongs, and shakers to create this steady rhythm, however, you can also create a subtle rhythm using Quartz Crystal bowls that soothes as it is entraining.
Want to learn more about sound healing? Sound Healing 101 is coming up Saturday, July 27th and for those of you ready to dive in deep! Sound Healing Certification starts August 19th! You will want to register for either of these classes SOON! I keep the classes small for more time with instruments and conversation.✨ I look forward to seeing you in class!

LOVE!
Wow... this bowl created a sound that you could feel move from one ear to the other ONLY when I played it for her... not for me... not any of the other times I spent with it... only for her and when SHE plays it.
They really do all have their own personalities and are calling out to their new partners in healing. Kim’s personal meditation practice and yoga students will never be the same!

Entering my birthday month with a little R+R.
Time just seems to slow down here... and I am thinking I need more of this. Like, on the regular... taking this way of being back to Atlanta...I’m sure it a challenge you gave too... the days just seem to fly!!!
I could feel the burnout rising just before December’s Sound Bath at the planetarium. I was becoming extremely irritable, unable to focus, and not sleeping well.
Taking time for self care will give you more time. There are layers to it. It’s not only keeping your body in a state of health, but you look younger! Your mental focus is faster! You are able to find/keep a gratitude mindset more easily! And you feeling the spaciousness of time! (The list can really go on!)
I will be back in town just in time to support you in a little R+R. Wednesday, March 6th is the next sound bath. Hope to see you there to hug it out and take deep breathes together. I’m looking forward to it. 💕

“Among the many forms in which human spirit has tried to express its innermost yearnings and perceptions, music is perhaps the most universal. It symbolizes the yearning for harmony, with oneself and others, with nature and the spiritual and the sacred within us and around us. There is something in music that transcends and unites. This is evident in the sacred music of every community—music that expresses the universal yearning that is shared by people all over the globe.”
From His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama (From Song of the Spirit: The World of Sacred Music)
Join me tomorrow, Wednesday, February 6th for 'Relax in Sound'. A Sound Bath supporting inner awareness that leads to self empowerment. Transcending time and space.

Social media has created a whole new industry where there are now therapist specializing in social media addiction and the depression, anxiety, and attempted suicides that come with it. And I’m NOT just talking about adults... I work with one of those amazing therapy centers. I am so thankful for the work that Paradigm San Francisco does to help our youth, and the value they see from having sound healing as part of their program once a week. This is real. For something that is suppose to bring us together, and be a source of information, how can we empower our youth when they are inundated by highlight reels? I’m not saying take away screen time... this is still a powerful tool! But how do we empower our youth on social media? I don’t know what it’s like to be a parent. But I can tell you that our kids need us. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be hired by these therapy centers to work with them...
What dialog are you having with your children around social media? Have you experienced a dialog around comparison, depression, anxiety, or sexuality from what they are seeing on these channels? Comment below.
(Thank you ahead time for anyone commenting on this sensitive topic.)

Follow the feeling.
I make decisions based on feeling. I get shit for it from time to time, but I have found that when I follow the feeling the mind comes in and figures out the rest. It’s served me well.
Relationships.
Work.
Friendships.
Go this way.
Say this.
Don’t say anything.
That feeling sense of our bodies is often overlooked but it’s always guiding us. We need only to pay attention.
Do you follow what you’re feeling? I know I can’t be the only one. Sound Healing has amplified it for me! The practice of using Sound to capture mind chatter to find Stillness has had a profound affect on my life.. Crystal bowls, chanting, drumming, breath... all vibrational tools that help us connect to our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies.
I don’t always want to act upon the feeling or awareness that comes through. And sometimes I make it hard on myself by resisting... but it always ends up showing me the truth. And while the truth can be hard to accept, it can also be liberating.

Wow... thank you all for coming out! It fills my heart when I see a full room because it’s a sign that you are experiencing transformation and seeing the value of this work. We are all part of the same tribe. And when we come together like this it reminds us that we are not going at this thing called LIFE alone. Thank you Kelsey Reed from Innercise Yoga for an awesome collab, and Atlanta Yoga Collective for hosting us today!
I’m getting goosebumps for Wednesday’s Sound Bath at Studioplex! Not only has Transcend Healing Massage invited us back, but! You will experience 14 quartz crystal bowls and Kea Beverages will be there to help ground you with some delicious kombucha and juices! Let’s relax what needs relaxing! Let’s move what needs to be moved! Let’s find clarity and shift perspective! THIS. IS. YOU. TIME!
