Beltane
You are invited on a journey connecting with the cross quarter holiday of Beltane. The word 'Beltane' roughly translates as "bright fire" and so the earth fires of the winter would be put out and a new fire lit to signify the return of abundance and fertility to the land. Everyone in the community is connected by this fire represented by LED candles in which we will ceremonially "light" together as a celebration of the start of summer and a magical connection to Self while casting off the darkness and celebrating the light.
This uniquely renewing experience consists of deeply restorative, movement of the body and breath, with curated music and vibrational sound to create a profound sense of relaxation, revitalization, and mental clarity.
The journey includes guided meditation, low impact movement and stretching based on the principles of pilates and yoga, flowing into guided meditation and active pranayama breathing. This breath-work technique increases the circulation of oxygen throughout the body, activating the brain to create new neural pathways supporting our aliveness into the Summer months. This type of mindful breathing is an ancient healing tool that has been known to unlock altered states of consciousness, clear emotional blocks, heal pain, and remove stuck energy from the mind, body, and spirit. Included is a crystal sound bath to open the heart, clear the mind, and soothe the soul. We will have journal prompts and intention igniting, supporting you in feeling your aliveness. Let yourself be Guided.
Meet Your Guides:
Elizabeth Ariosto is a wellness guide and performance specialist, certified in pilates and restorative yoga, with a focus on nervous system response, anatomy, and alignment. She is an energy medicine facilitator, and breath-work practitioner, trained in meditation and shamanic ceremony through the Sun Ray Meditation Society, an international spiritual organization dedicated to planetary peace. It was here she learned to preserve and share the teachings from the Tsalagi (Cherokee) spiritual traditions, and where her ability to intuitively channel energy and hold sacred space was nurtured and developed. She soon began applying these ancient ways into her modern life and unique style of coaching.
Elizabeth is the owner and CEO of Body & Breath, a mobile wellness studio where she facilitates one on one coaching, group classes, events, workshops, and retreats to help people find their greatest state of health and wellbeing. From within this space, Elizabeth compassionately guides her students into re-alignment, through releasing self-limiting beliefs, re-connecting to the body’s inner wisdom, and by developing tools to calm the mind in an otherwise chaotic world. Working with Elizabeth consists of high intensity, low-impact movement, guided meditation, and active breath-work that has been known to relieve stress, increase mental clarity, and clear physical and emotional blocks.
