“How do I get started in Sound Healing?” You have a pen?

“How do I get started in Sound Healing?” You have a pen?

1. Start going to sound baths regularly and try at least one, 1 on 1 session.
Going to sound baths is a great way to learn the language around your experiences and others so you can actually share what you are inviting people into. It also ENERGETICALLY tells the universe that you value this service. When it comes time to charge for it (because this is a business) you will energetically be a match. To give, is to receive.

2. Read “The 7 secrets to Sound Healing” by @jonathangoldman_healingsounds . It’s a fast read and a great intro to see if you really want to learn more.

3. Keep your day job!
It takes time to build a sustainable business. There is absolutely no need to struggle. Think of your current moneymaker as the “Venture Capitalist” to your Sound Healing business. Dream of the future but stay grounded in where you are in the present.

4. Meditate everyday!
This starts to build your subtle body sensitivity and trust. When you begin to facilitate sound baths or 1 on 1’s you will start to notice things like smells, tastes, and seeing energy. Meditating everyday supports you in trusting your experiences and intuition.

5. Do your personal work!
If you are not taking personal responsibility for the role you play in your life, you will not be successful in this work. PERIOD. Anger issues? Unresolved past trauma? Health challenges? Gossip? Depression? (the list can go on) Get a coach, therapist, workout, eat healthy, be expressed and empowered. Work through your stuff, or your stuff will work you.

6. Surround yourself with LOVE.
Loving people who lift you up. Loving thoughts to keep you going. Loving situations that hold you and nurture you. You CAN do this. But it takes a loving community and loving mind to make it sustainable.

Ive got more for you. But start with these 6. Did any of these resonate with you? Let me know!

We shared about sound healing therapy and provided 3 intro sound bath experiences!

Mental Health + Sound Healing

Here are some stats:

1. Around 20% of the world's children and adolescents have mental disorders or problems. About half of mental disorders begin before the age of 14.

2. Mental and substance use disorders are the leading cause of disability worldwide. About 23% of all years lost because of disability is caused by mental and substance use disorders.

3. About 800,000 people commit suicide every year and is the second leading cause of death in 15-29-year-olds.

4. Mental disorders are important risk factors for other diseases, as well as unintentional and intentional injury. Mental disorders increase the risk of getting ill from other diseases such as HIV, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and vice-versa.

5. Stigma and discrimination against patients and families prevent people from seeking mental health care.

Here is how Sound Healing can help:

The brain’s internal communication is based on frequency. Our brainwaves are measured in hertz just like sound.

It has been shown that:
1. certain brainwave frequencies increase the production of serotonin, to help ease pain and increase relaxation.

2. that certain brainwave frequencies increase production of catecholamines, which are important for memory and learning, and

3. reaching deep sleep, which is beneficial for repair and recover quicker from injury, exercise or daily physical stress, and human growth hormone (HGH) is released when our brains are in the delta state.

It’s known and proven that by exercising our brain, we have better mental and emotional health and increased intellectual functioning. And that’s JUST what we do here at SoundEmbrace. We create sound experiences that exercise your brain so that your body can go into its own natural healing state. We are not solving all the worlds problems around mental health but we are a big part of the conversation and contribution to supporting the overarching mission to support adults and kids in this area.

Come check out a Sound Bath. See for yourself. We can take HSA + FSA, too!

Social Media Has Created a Whole New Industry

Social media has created a whole new industry where there are now therapist specializing in social media addiction and the depression, anxiety, and attempted suicides that come with it. And I’m NOT just talking about adults... I work with one of those amazing therapy centers. I am so thankful for the work that Paradigm San Francisco does to help our youth, and the value they see from having sound healing as part of their program once a week. This is real. For something that is suppose to bring us together, and be a source of information, how can we empower our youth when they are inundated by highlight reels? I’m not saying take away screen time... this is still a powerful tool! But how do we empower our youth on social media? I don’t know what it’s like to be a parent. But I can tell you that our kids need us. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be hired by these therapy centers to work with them...

What dialog are you having with your children around social media? Have you experienced a dialog around comparison, depression, anxiety, or sexuality from what they are seeing on these channels? Comment below.

(Thank you ahead time for anyone commenting on this sensitive topic.)
